You always want to look your best for the special occasions like graduation, wedding, birthday etc. The photographs from these memorable days will survive for generations and you need to make sure that you look you best. It is always prudent to prepare in advance for any skin conditions that may flare up on these days. Prevention is always better than cure and if you have a zit on your wedding day, this certainly is true. I have listed out some tips that you can follow that will make sure that you have the best complexion on your big day. 1) If you are planning on using some new cream or a new facial, have a test run at least a month before the event. You never know what kind of reaction the product will have on your skin. If the side effects include swelling or irritation, you should know about it early. 2) If you want to display a perfect tan for the cameras, at the event, make sure that you get it a couple of weeks before the event because you don't want to risk undesired peeling or a sun burn. If you are in the habit of using a tanning bed, you could have a reaction to the ultra violet lamps in the apparatus. Make a test run at least a couple of months before you choose to go with the tanning bed for the event. Alternately, you can also use the self tanning lotions or sprays for the perfect tan. In this case also make sure that you test the product in advance, 2 or 3 months would be adequate, before you try it out for the big day. This is because some percentage of the population will always be allergic to some ingredients or the other, in these products and you shouldn't find out on your big day that you are part of this percentage. In addition to the effects on our skin, some of these tanning products can cause discolorations in your cloths. So, the point is, have a trial run at least a few months before the event so that you won't be caught off guard. 3) Acne can be a big problem for any event. Along with Rosacea skin, acne can cause emotional problems when you should be at your happiest. Consult with a dermatologist and find out if there is anything that he can do to reduce the condition. 4) You can have laser treatments to take care any unwanted hair on your body. You can use Botox injections to cover up your wrinkles and as a measure to reduce excessive sweating. Juvederm fillers can be used for scars and various aging effects like creases and wrinkles. You can also use Artecoll and Restylane fillers for this effect. Almost all these treatments will leave a mark on your skin that is temporary. But it might take up to a week for some of them like bruises and discolorations to disappear. Consult your dermatologist and time the treatments such that the only the benefits will be observed at the event rather than the side effects.
