He is also a contributing editor for Mac World plus a regular contributor for CreativePro where he wrote his Out of Gamut articles. Fraser is also a co author of Real World Color Management from Peachpit Press. He has also made a study of human vision and how it relates to reproducible color in photography and photomechanical reproduction. Bruce is a regular speaker and presenter at notable trade shows and conferences as well as Seybold and Thunder Lizards Photoshop Conferences. He has also consulted for an extensive series of major photographic and digital imaging companies.
Adobe Photoshop CS is the new version Version of Adobe Photoshop. It is a part of the newly announced Adobe Creative Suite which combines new versions of Adobe Photoshop CS with ImageReady CS, Adobe illustrator CS, Adobe InDesign CS, Adobe GoLive CS, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and the new Version Cue file version manager, which lets you track integrations quickly and locate files easily.

Camera RAW part of Photoshop 7 Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW JPEG 2000 Plug in Bundle is now an integrated part of Photoshop CS. This has added substantial power to Photoshop CS. JPEG 2000 delivers superior quality for the same compression ratios. Conversely, since no camera support JPEG 2000, support is available through a separate plug in those ships with the software.
Depending on the camera brand, Raw may come in different flavors. Adobe Photoshop CS covers most RAW formats available today. However, RAW data may not be always read accurately. For example, the white balance of Nikon Coolpix 5000 images may have unnatural result which is not a case with Nikon Capture 3.5. To fix the white balance, click in a non secular white area followed by a minor tint adjustment. Supplementary adjustments can be made through the advanced Calibration tab. The Adjust tab controls exposure, shadow, brightness and contrast sliders. Albeit Photoshop CS features now a new Histogram Palette, the RAW dialog box also features live histograms.
Noise reduction is not a problem with Photoshop CS. It has the color noise reduction and luminance smoothing sliders which allow you to reduce colors and luminance noise. Luminance noise should be use with caution because it can lead to an artificial water paint effect. The noise reduction performs very well and preserves the image detail and sharpness.
To remove chromatic aberrations, apply a local desaturation in the corresponding color channels. The Lens tab of the raw dialog box provides effective ways of eliminating these aberrations.

To have additional knowledge of Camera raw with Adobe Photoshop CS, purchase a copy of this book. It will sure enlighten the dark areas of the subject matter.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT DINNER WINE

Sounds obvious, doesn't it? Sometimes, however, we get so caught up in what is the right wine and what is the wrong wine that we forget the most important th
ing: we have taste! We have our own individual taste and love drinking the wine we love to drink. Sure, certain wines traditionally match certain foods and flavours, but ultimately you are the judge of what you like to drink, no matter what the enologists say!

RULE NO. 2: White with fish, red with meat? Not always.

Everyone knows that fish meals should be accompanied by white wine and meat dishes should be accompanied by red wine. But adhering to strict wine rules takes the fun out of choosing wines. Trust your own sense of taste. A wine should do one of two things: complement or contrast. Not all fish dishes are cooked in the same way, so why should they all be accompanied by white wine? Consider the dish, the way it is cooked, the spices and seasonings added, and then choose a wine that complements those elements or contrasts, that is if you want a more intense experience.

RULE NO. 3: Always read a wine label.

Not all merlots, shirazes, and cabernets are the same. An Australian merlot will differ from an American or French merlot. Read up on winemaking practices around the world and learn the differences between wines and their countries of origin. But apart from the country of origin, also look for information about specific regions and vineyards. The more detailed information on a wine label, the better the wine will be. Of course, the better the wine the more expensive it will be and that is the final deciding factor.

Should Assisted Suicide be Legalized?

Right up there with abortion and stem cell research lies another controversial life or death issue: assisted suicide. If you ask anybody their opinion on the legalization of assisted suicide, you're bound to get a strong reaction. There are countless moral and legal arguments for and against assisted suicide. And as this practice becomes legal in more and more places, people are being forced to take a side on this hugely controversial issue.

The Arguments For

No matter what your views on assisted suicide may be, you probably acknowledge that there are many good arguments for allowing people to decide when it's their time to die. For one, many believe that, as people have control over their lives, they should also be allowed control over the manner of their deaths. Many also believe that death is a personal choice, and that allowing somebody to die rather than suffer incredible amounts of pain is the compassionate thing to do.

Many terminally ill patients can decide on death by simply refusing to receive any further medical treatment. One point that many assisted suicide supporters make is that, as these patients have a way to control their own destiny, terminally ill or suffering patients for whom refusing treatment would not mean death should be given another option. And since suicides will take place with or without the law on their side, an open, effective, and painless option is the best for everybody involved.

The Arguments Against

For most of those who are opposed to assisted suicides, the argument is generally more black and white. Because taking a life is immoral, assisting somebody to die even when terminally ill or in great pain is also immoral.

But there are also practical (rather than moral) objections to assisted suicide as a whole. Because doctors can't always be 100% correct when determining how much life a person has left, some intentional deaths may be unnecessary and waste a life. In addition, many worry that assisted suicide would reduce the public's confidence in doctors, as well as open patients up to potential abuse. In the case that a patient has no family or is a drain on the medical system (or, in countries without health care, is unable to pay his or her medical bills), many worry that a patient may be pushed into opting for assisted suicide.

How Doctors Feel

Assisted suicide is not a new issue; since medicine as we know it has existed, doctors have chosen distinct sides on administering death to their patients.

In general, most doctors tend to be against the legalization of assisted suicide. They often refer to the Hippocratic Oath as part of their argument. As part of this oath, doctors must not "give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it." In the U.S. state of Oregon, a recent law was passed legalizing physician assisted suicide. But of the state's doctors, 67% said that they would refuse to assist in a suicide if asked. And, according to surveys, those that have actually helped a terminally ill patient to commit suicide did so with great reluctance.

Like abortion and other similar issues, assisted suicide is a vastly personal topic, and which side you come down on will have a lot to do with your background and religious beliefs. Many question whether or not the government should be able to legislate morality; if laws should exist to protect those that do not wish to be protected. But others believe that opening the door to assisted suicide might be a little like opening up Pandora's Box. Once that door swings open, you never know what unintended consequence might come drifting out.

In the end, assisted suicide is a vastly personal decision, and even though most people feel very strongly about it one way or another, their opinions are legitimate and completely their own.

Officer Killed in Rancho Cordova, California Motorcycle Accident

A Rancho Cordova cop has been killed in yet another motorcycle accident involving an older motorist. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when the officer, Deputy Lawrence Canfield, was trying to overtake a suspected speeding driver on his motorcycle. According to officer.com, a car driven by a 79-year-old man took a turn right in front of the motorcycle, slamming against it, throwing Canfield off. The officer suffered severe injuries, and was helped by several passersby until medical help arrived. He died later at the hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the motorcycle accident, and whether traffic violations played any part. The accident occurred in a school zone, and both schools in the area were just closing for the day. It's clear that Deputy Canfield died in a heroic enactment of duty, trying to keep the streets free of speeding drivers. We extend our sincere sympathies to his wife and two young children. Canfield has been remembered by his peers as a jovial, fun-loving guy who will be sorely missed.

Just yesterday we carried a story on our Orange County motorcycle accident lawyer blog involving Henry Eaton, the young man who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident that also included an elderly motorist. There too, the driver seems to have made a turn right in front of the motorcycle, throwing the rider off. There are several reasons why the elderly may be more prone to accidents as they get older, and defining a set driving policy for elderly drivers should be a priority. So far, there has been no indication that there were traffic violations in the Rancho Cordova accident, although it's too early to confirm. There also doesn't seem to have been any criminal intent on the part of the motorist.

Fingers are also being pointed at the road in question. Apparently, there had been another similar accident in the area about three years ago, in which an officer on his motorcycle was thrown off his bike when a car slammed into him. He spent the next two months in the hospital, recovering from his injuries. That accident took place just about 50 feet from the site of the accident that killed Deputy Canfield on Wednesday. According to Sheriff John McGuiness, it might be prudent to conduct a complete safety investigation of the road to determine if there were construction and design flaws that could be causing an increase in fatal and near-fatal car accidents on that stretch. Besides the previous accident, there seem to have been many more pedestrian and motor vehicle accidents on that stretch of road. A study conducted by engineers would be able to pinpoint any flaw in the dangerous road that may have escaped the attention of the authorities until now. Any failings could be corrected, helping avoid more auto accidents in the area.

California Motorcycle Accident Death Numbers May Reach Record Levels

For the thousands of people who have opted to take to the streets in their motorcycles in an attempt to beat high gas prices, there's a sobering statistic about motorcycle accidents that might make them think twice. According to the California Highway Patrol, motorcycle accident deaths in the state are on their way to rivaling a record set back in 1991. That was the last year that motorcyclists were allowed to ride without helmets. The death count in motorcycle accidents that year was 512. This year, the tally so far is 332, and counting. That number is also close to reaching last year's total number of motorcycle accident fatalities, 474.

These numbers are alarming enough, but the total number of deaths in California may actually be higher than that because these statistics don't include motorcycle accident deaths that occur on city streets. When all those numbers are considered together, we could be seeing a number that's higher than the total number of deaths in 1991.

With more motorcyclists and motorists on California's roads, it's becoming increasingly evident that there are deficiencies in the system. There are way too many motorcycle accident fatalities, even with the law requiring helmets, as well as the awareness programs that the CHP sometimes conducts to bring about greater harmony between motorists and motorcyclists.

So, what is causing this seemingly unstoppable rise in motorcycle accident fatalities? California Highway Patrol officials have a number of theories about the reasons for this alarming rise. For one, there are more motorcyclists on the roads than before. The golden state has always been the perfect place to ride around, and with rising gas prices, many Californians have found it easier and cheaper to ride around on their motorcycles.

Besides, there's the age of the riders themselves. Motorcycle riders tend to fall broadly into two groups - The older ones who are finding that their reflexes are not as sharp, and that modern machines are not like the meek bikes of yesteryear, and the younger riders who simply don't have sufficient training to handle these loaded machines. After all, the licensing system tends to be an easy one to maneuver. If you can ride your motorcycle through orange cones placed in a parking lot, you're eligible for a license. It means that there are simply too many motorcyclists on California's highways who just don't have the skills necessary to handle busy traffic, inattentive motorists, road rage and other challenges on the road.

The temptation posed by more powerful machines has also led to an increase in motorcycle accident fatalities. Statistics show that when riders trade in their older model for a more powerful bike, they are as much as 70 times more likely to be involved in a motorcycle accident, than those who stick to their old motorcycles.

It's clear that a combination of factors is at play in the kind of increase in accident-related fatalities that we are seeing now. The CHP is doing its part to increase awareness about the dangers posed to motorcyclists on the roads. This summer it held a safety drive aimed exclusively at motorcyclists, which was very successful. But it's obvious more needs to be done if we are to see a drop in these motorcycle accident-related death statistics.

Easy Way to Make Money with Auto responders

http://www.autoresponder-money.com
http://www.list-management-secrets.com

Just about any online business can benefit by using auto responders. In fact, with a properly arranged campaign, your as-yet-unfounded business can be built around an
Auto responder program. All you need is a product and an effective series of
Auto responder messages and you can start carving your piece of the Internet pie.

Your autoresponder is your golden goose: the marketing tool that will sell your well-developed product far more effectively than any other form of advertising. Few sales are
made by impulse buyers, particularly on the internet. But if you are able to get your message out repeatedly to people who are already interested in what you have to offer, you will see an explosive sales response.

This book will give you all the information you need to begin profiting with auto responders. You’ll learn how to choose a topic that works best for you and your situation; research your market and find or develop great content that people want to buy; start you own automated storefront web site; tailor your autoresponder messages for maximum effectiveness; and build a powerful opt-in autoresponder list that will make money even while you sleep.

Let’s start making autoresponder magic!

2 PICK A TOPIC

To make money with auto responders, you need a product. Most of the time, the product you’re selling is information: an e-book, print book, e-course, e-zine or newsletter, CD, or downloadable audio program. Your topic must be something that appeals to a wide
audience—you could have the world’s best book on raising Amazon boa constrictors at
home, but the only people interested in it would be people who already own an Amazon
Boa constrictor, or have thought about buying one. In this case, your sales base would be
limited (to put it nicely). On the other hand, if your book or product tells people how to
make five hundred dollars a minute—well; you might have quite a few potential buyers.

Also, your topic must be an area in which you have personal interest or expertise. If you can put your passion into your marketing material, people will be able to tell that you
believe in what you’re selling. This builds trust and sales. For more details go to In this chapter we’ll talk about how to choose a topic that covers both these areas: Wide spread appeal, and your personal interest or expertise to back it up.

2A - Your personal interests and areas of expertise

People who like their jobs are happier. Their enthusiasm spills over into their work, and they often find themselves receiving promotions or raises and attracting customers without even trying.

If you’re comfortable talking about your product, and you are passionate about the subject, your confidence will permeate every area of your autoresponder program. You will receive unsolicited comments from buyers who are pleased with your service. You’ll
be able to build consumer trust because people will know that you endorse your product
100 percent.

One aspect of developing your personal interest in a topic is to actually use the information you’re offering yourself. That way, when you discuss the benefits of buying
your product, you’ll be able to get personal about the experience.

Another important part of choosing your topic is identifying your area of expertise. This
doesn’t mean you have to be an “expert.” It just means that it will be far easier for you to
sell a product you know a lot about—and far easier for buyers to part with their hard-
earned money when they know they are purchasing from a knowledgeable source. Think
you don’t have an area of expertise? You may know more than you think you know. The
topics you’re familiar with don’t have to come from a job or college courses. For more information logon Take the following quiz to help you determine your hidden interests and expertise, or develop and hone in on the areas you already know you’re interested in.

Answer the following questions as thoroughly as possible to discover the topic best suited
to you that will help you succeed in your autoresponder campaign.

1. Who are you? This sounds too simple to be useful, but you’d be surprised how seeing
your personal demographics laid out in black-and-white can provide insight into what
topics are best for you.

Online Obituaries

Death is a part of life. We learn as children about the circle of life. Everyone has an obituary written about them when they die. An obituary summarizes the life you lead and the people you left behind after you passed away. It is impossible to be able to express how much a person affected others. An obituary is usually a few paragraphs long and sometimes has a photo graph with it. The person’s first and last name is listed first. Their cause of death, date of birth, date of death, place of birth, and place of death follows their name. The obituary then lists the person’s occupation, a spouse if necessary, and the names of the surviving family members.

The one big problem with obituaries that are written and published in newspapers is that usually you have to read the particular newspaper that the obituary is published in to know that the person died. Most surviving family members only place their deceased family member’s obituary in their local newspaper. Many people move away or relocate at some time in their lives so they will not know that someone that they knew has passed away if they no longer live in the same town as their deceased family member or close friend.

Something new that has been implemented on the Internet is called online obituaries. Online obituaries are obituaries of deceased people that can be posted on different web sites. This type of media can reach many different people in various states and countries. It helps people be able to make arrangements to attend their loved one’s or friend’s funeral.

Most people do not buy the newspaper any more they either read the newspaper online or just watch the news in order to stay current on current events. Online obituaries some times allow you to express your condolences online or leave comments to express how you feel. Most online obituaries stay posted online for a long time whereas obituaries in the newspapers only run once and many people can miss the obituary especially if it only runs during the week and not the weekend. Many people only read the weekend newspaper if they subscribe to a newspaper because they are so busy with work activities, caring for their family, making dinner, and cleaning etc.

Online obituaries are a very great media tool since most people have access to a personal computer and also have access to the Internet. Many of us surf the Internet every single day so online obituaries are more likely to be viewed than an obituary in a newspaper. Every one should surf the Internet and search for online obituaries because you might find out that someone that you knew or was a distant relative of yours has died and you will be able to express your grief and pass on your condolences to their surviving friends and family members.

Caskets Versus Coffins

Some people will argue that there is no difference in a casket versus a coffin. They insist that casket is simply the term we use for what we bury people in inside the U.S., while coffin is the term that Europeans use. However, that isn't really true.

A coffin is wider at the shoulder and tapers toward the feet. These are the things where you might see a vampire slumbering in an old Dracula movie. Coffins were the original burial tool because it saved expensive wood by not maintaining the width all the way to the bottom. Coffins today are traditionally still wood and very simple boxes that are unlined and unadorned. A coffin usually also has a flat top and is thought to be smaller, and therefore less cumbersome. They also have 6 metal handles, 3 on each side, for pallbearers to use to carry the deceased to the gravesite.

A casket on the other hand is the same width from top to bottom. Generally caskets are padded and lined. And when you put a casket into the ground it usually fills a grave that has been lined with a vault or the resin grave liners. Both of these have sealed lids so the casket isn't merely covered by dirt like a coffin is. It's thought to be much more secure against grave robbers. Another benefit of caskets is that they can usually open at just the top so only the head and shoulders of the deceased can be seen at a wake or viewing. And a casket has an elevated cover as well as the handles for the pallbearers to use - although, these handles are generally bigger and a bit easier to use. Finally, caskets can be made from a variety of metals and come in many different sizes from infant to double oversized.

So, as you can see, even though the basic meaning for coffin and casket is the same – they are both used to hold a deceased person – they are two very different entities.

Ten Important Things to Know When Ordering Funeral Flowers

If you need to order sympathy flowers and want to make sure you get the best flowers at the right price then read these ten insider tips.

1. If there is a service at a funeral home it is most common to send flowers to the funeral home for the viewings and you should try and get the flowers delivered for the first viewing as their may only be 2 viewings.

2. It is acceptable& customary to send funeral flowers, Plants or Fruit & Gourmet Baskets to the funeral home

3. If you are sending flowers to a residence do not send funeral flowers such as a funeral spray or a cross or a funeral basket. Funeral arrangements are typically one side and designed to be placed against a wall not suitable for a residence. Instead it is traditional to send white flowers in a vase to a residence or a plant.

4. If the family is Jewish and the family is sitting Shiva you should send a Shiva basket which is basically a fruit & gourmet basket that should be kosher unless you know it does not matter. You can also send a green plant but you should not send flowers or blooming plants.

5. Funeral flower arrangements are typically one sided as they are placed against the wall rather than in the center of a table. Funeral flowers that go to the funeral home are generally large and showy. Pieces like crosses, hearts and large funeral sprays can cost hundreds of dollars. Even though you found something to send for forty dollars you need to consider that your arrangement will be placed next to all the others and many people will spend more. I would send no less then a fifty dollar arrangement to a funeral home. This would be for plants and floral arrangement.

6. The card message is personal but some ideas are 'our thoughts and prayers are with you' or 'with deepest sympathy'. It is also typical not to address the card specifically to anyone as the funeral director will collect all the cards and give them to the family. When you send a sympathy piece the card should clearly indicate who is sending the flowers (last name and or company name if appropriate) as it can be confusing to the family during a stressful time. You should also put your address on the card to make it easier for the family when they send out thank you cards.

7. If you are placing a banner on the piece it should state your relationship to the deceased. Customary banners are 'beloved Mother', 'Dearest Friend' etc. Many times a florist does not offer this as it is not something that they charge for and it costs them money. It will make the sympathy flowers you are sending look special so you should consider if it is appropriate for you.

8. When you send flowers to a funeral home the family generally does not take them home. If you want the family to have something for their home it would more likely occur and be more convenient if you sent the flowers to the home directly.

9. If you contact a funeral home that is trying to sell flowers you should politely say no thanks. Many of the mom and pop funeral homes have been purchased by a just a couple very large companies . These companies maintain the local name but they operate very differently. The funeral directors working for the funeral homes get commissions on flowers that are sold, the funeral home also keeps some of your money as commission on your flower order instead of it going into the sympathy flowers. Worse yet the funeral home employees don't know anything about flowers, what is in season or in stock so you are paying a premium for lousy service.

10. Beware of websites pretending to be funeral homes, or websites acting like funeral home guides that are selling flowers. These sites are not associated with the funeral homes they pretend to be and I would not recommend dealing with them.

Death is inevitable. No one can escape death all have to perish at sometime. Obituary message is related with death. These are the messages written by family members in memory of the death of their loved ones. They are short messages published in newspaper. Obituary message includes biographical information such as age, birthplace, occupation, names of surviving relatives, and place of death. The biographical information contained in an obituary is useful to genealogists and people researching their family histories, in addition to being a memorial to a person's life.

For many ancestors and relatives, the obituary is the only "biographical sketch" of the individual. In addition to providing basic information such as names, dates, and places of birth and death, obituaries also describe relationships between family members such as parents, siblings, and children of the decedent. They are death notices; and are importance to research genealogical information about their ancestors. Obituary message also contains name of church where prayer was held after death and place of burial. Obituary message is also important for the family members who are staying far. It can help them to get information about ad happening that takes place at their home.

Many sites include obituary message that help researchers who are doing research on family tree. It helps them to get all relevant information about the family. Obituary message is kind of paying tribute or respect towards the decedent. It shows that their death is not inevitable, the family members still miss them and they hold special place in their life. It also helps in knowing the family background of the person, his/her status, kind of death whether it is sudden death or person suffering from any disease, kind of disease, which is helpful in genealogy research.

Obituary message helps in analyzing the relation of decedent with family members. If died person is some prominent personality of the country then the obituary message is big otherwise they are small message containing information about death.

Obituary information is good example in knowing the family tree and getting all information about decedent, which is generally difficult to trace out.
