Are you one of the millions of people who love to read the ragtag magazines that supply the supposed latest scoop on all of the celebrities that are famous enough to grace the covers? If you are then you are adding to the absolute distress of many of these famous folks. Of course, there are some truths in some of the stories that are published by the tabloid magazines, but exactly how much of what you see and read is true and how much of it is absolute fiction?
People spend millions of dollars buying up the unreliable publications of these papers and magazines that want to report the most shocking and most bizarre stories about the rich and famous as can be found and elaborated on. Sometimes there will be a small grain of truth to an article and it will be stretched to the point of an out an out lie. Why do we willingly buy papers and magazines that we are pretty sure are feeding us a pile of crap?
Since the turn of the twentieth century, the interest in famous people such as movie stars, musicians, politicians, and just rich people in general, has fascinated those of us with more mundane lives. It is exhilarating to read about how all of these people live and even occasionally learn about some scandal or hot water they might have gotten themselves into, but the line should be drawn when publishers print things that are absolutely not true. If they see the least bit of smoke, so to speak, all of a sudden it is turned into a raging out of control fire that sweeps the country.
Sometimes these types of publications can literally make the life of one of these scrutinized celebrities absolutely miserable. Many times they are stalked relentlessly by reporters and photographers who are just lying in wait to get a photo of them in some questionable or compromising position or get a hint of some life problem they might have developed. It can be interesting, but how much invasion of privacy is too much. Anything more than a person wants to be known about their personal life voluntarily is too much.
Even famous people have a right to a certain amount of privacy and many of them share thing willingly with reputable media. None of us would stand one minute for someone stalking us and reporting every little detail of our private life and we would also be like some of the celebrities who have absolutely had enough, we would be suing some people too.
