Do you realize that you influence everyone around you constantly?
Think about how many times you give recommendations about where to eat, what movie to watch, and what books to read.
Today when I came into the office my co-worker said that she watched the movie that I recommended. She said her husband actually watched it three times. It was a pretty funny movie, so I was excited to hear that they enjoyed it. My recommendation to watch that particular movie influenced them to take the time to go to the video store and rent the video.
People are listening to the words that come out of your mouth and are watching how you live your life. The way that you live your lives is actually one big recommendation to others on how they could live their lives.
People are always watching you and making decisions based on how you live your life.
If you want to make a heavenly impact, you must make the best recommendation that exists. This is the recommendation of how to spend eternity in Heaven.
Heaven is defined as living for eternity in paradise with God. God loves you and wants you to live there. In order to spend eternity in heaven, it is important to understand the good news. This is also known as the gospel.
The good news is that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your rebellion and sin against God. He was buried in a tomb and rose from the dead on the third day. If you turn from your life of rebellion and sin against God and ask for forgiveness from your sins, you will be able to go to Heaven.
Jesus wants you to make the recommendation of how to get into heaven with as many people as you can.
Here are several verses from the Bible that shows how Jesus wants you to make this recommendation.
(Mark 16:15-16 NKJV) And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
(Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
(John 20:21-22 NKJV) So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."
(Luke 24:46-48 NKJV) Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
If you preach the good news of Jesus Christ, you will influence others to do the same and they will influence others to do the same. This lifestyle will have a dramatic, heavenly impact! One day when you are in heaven, you will have many people that you have never met come up and thank you because you lived a life that led people to eternal life in Heaven.
Choose today to live a life that helps others to go to Heaven and turn from leading people to Hell.
