Are you from the middle class or even the lower class? Do you feel like you are invisible most of the time? Do you feel like everyone wants to be your friend so that they can get something from you or even promise you something so that they can get your vote? In an election year, our classes will set the candidates on fire to get our vote. They will almost promise us the world to give them our votes. If you give them your vote or you do a favor for them, do you feel like they just gave you the shaft afterwards?
We, the people of these two classes, feel like we get kicked in the teeth every time from all sides. We have been so trustworthy all of our lives, and we try to think that no one will tell us lies, but it happens all the time. We keep thinking that someone will come forward and tell us what we want to hear and keep their word. But in all my years on this earth, I've had this very thing happen to me so many times. You would think that I would learn my lesson. I am 53 years old, and I have not learned my lesson yet.
We try so hard to make ends meet. If you are having financial trouble of any sort, you know that trying to explain something that happened to you as the reason for why you cannot make a payment will fall on deaf ears. Our candidates are the same way. Once they have your backing, they seem to forget that you put them there. Do you realize that the only time the middle class is even thought of is in an election year and the rest of the time, we don't even seem to exist? The really bad thing about all of this is that we keep letting them get away with it. We either do not know hope to stop them from doing it, or we just keep letting them do it.
We should clean out the government and put them at our level. We need to put some lower class person in the White House. Who knows? Maybe this person could fix all the problems that we are facing. It seems that all these people with all this money haven't done the job. All they want to do is help the big time money makers to keep their money and the little people to lose theirs.
