How Our Government Went Up In Smoke

Do you read the papers every day or get on to your computer to check out the world news? If you have you might not read all the news has to offer in the ways of the government and their spending. Our government has gone up in smoke and is now trying to make money appear from out of the air, so to speak. If they can't make enough and find some way to cover this nonexistent money, they will have to ask us to let them raise our taxes. As you already know, the government borrowed a lot of money from our reserves to help bail out the banks and the big financial companies with the understanding that it would be paid back. By giving this money to these companies, they would be able to borrow from someone or some other country to put this back into the reserves. We have almost gotten to the point of no return because we are still in so much trouble that no matter what this government seems to do, there is something else in the shadows that will hit us again. I'm afraid that if this government doesn't do something right now, then there isn't going to be anything that is going to help us. For that matter, no other country will be able to help us either. This is probably the worst possible time for this to have happened. With it being an election year and both of the candidates trying to get your vote, it seems to most people that they are just saying what we want them to say. But I'm sorry for whichever one of them does get in because they will have the worst time to try to straighten up all the problems and the mess that this president has brought on to this country since he got into office. I'm like most people in this country that is trying to make ends meet and having a pretty hard time of it, too. I wouldn't know what to do with all the money that our congressmen or senators pay out in a week, much less than a month. Most of them spend more in a week than most people make in a month. They say that they can't make ends meet either, but I would very much like for them to try to live at the wages that most of us make and see how long it takes before they would have to go bankrupt. I'm sure it wouldn't take long.
