Career is a term defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as an individual's "course or progress through life. It usually is considered to pertain to remunerative work. A career is traditionally seen as a course of successive situations that make up a person's work-life. One can have a sporting career or a musical career without being a professional athlete or musician.
But more commonly "career" in the 20th century referenced the series of jobs or positions by which one earned one's money. It tended to look only at the past.
Though we all have our own careers on our lives, there are still those that desired a specific kind of career, yet unable to. Now some might think that because of our incapability to do it or to accomplish it such as disability, lack of means, and especially state of life. But this is not the main reason why, the reason why some cannot achieve their dream career is because of their loss of confidence and self-esteem.

The loss of self confidence or loss of self-esteem is the main factor that affects a person’s resolve to achieve their goals in life or their career in life.
